Passion is essential to life, without passion we live in a world that is dull,
a world without colour. Where passion exists our lives are energised and our
motivation is increased. We can be passionate about many things but the greatest
of all passions is a passion for Jesus. This is what we at the Aldinga Bay Baptist
Church long for, strive toward and are motivated by.
At Aldinga Bay Baptist our passion for Jesus spills over into a passion for the Gospel.
This Gospel comes from the pages of the Bible, it remains timeless and unchanged. The gospel
is the greatest hope for our region and our world; it is the greatest hope because through it
people become connected with Jesus and are made more like Jesus. This is what brings glory to God.
At Aldinga Bay Baptist our passion for Jesus compels us to...
- ...connect locally and regionally. In this we seek to build relationships with those who are
not connected with Jesus so that they may see Jesus in us. Because people are varied and different
so to do our points of contact need to be varied and creative. It is our belief that the message of the
Gospel doesn't change but our methods do.
- ...engage locally and regionally. Through relationships formed we seek to communicate the Gospel
clearly and accurately; enabling people to embrace Jesus as their king and join the Church which is his
community.
- ...empower followers of Jesus by helping people to become more like Jesus. We do this by preaching,
teaching and applying the Bible in our small groups, church services and overall mission. It is our
desire to see people develop priorities like Jesus; priorities that are displayed through dependence,
faith, hope, love, generosity, commitment, and holiness.
- ...multiply churches that are committed to Jesus. We believe God desires Aldinga Bay Baptist
to bless our local community, our region and our world. The greatest way we can bless others is
by growing leaders, increasing small groups, planting churches and partnering in mission. This
we do with the overall purpose of the promotion of the Gospel.
